Mehmet Yıldız was born in Beykoz, Istanbul in 1970. He began working as a civil servant at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in March 1992. From November 1996, he left the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and worked first at Güreli Certified Public Accountant and then at PwC Istanbul until October 2003. He became Tax Manager at PwC. For approximately 7 years, he served as an auditor in numerous independent and tax audits for various companies. Between 2004 and 2021, he held positions such as Financial Affairs Manager, Accounting Group Manager, and Accounting Manager in various large manufacturing companies, retiring at the beginning of 2021. After retirement, he joined İtimat Global Auditing and Consulting in August 2021. He is also a certified expert witness within the Ministry of Justice and has published articles in various professional journals.

He is experienced in local and international tax planning. He provides consultancy services on all tax matters, including corporate tax, income tax, and international tax.
